I started my first lemonade stand at age ten and ever since I've had the entrepreneurial bug. Over the last ten years I’ve started over a half dozen companies that employ over six hundred people. One of them, Mimeo.com, is a Deloitte Fast 50 Technology company that has made the Inc. 500 twice in the last three years.
I believe technology can increase the speed of business and reduce hassle. I've dedicated my life as an entrepreneur to proving it. Time is precious, and if you put a premium on the value of your customer’s time, you’ll be rewarded with loyalty and repeat business. Mimeo.com is a great example; it allows business professionals to physically produce and deliver hard-copy documents, all with the click of the mouse. Today thousands of individuals and companies no longer have to waste time at the local copy shop or corporate copy center.
My interests tend to cluster around start-ups, business management, Wall Street, venture capital, technology, and the environment.
Most recently, I’ve been investing most of my time at Urgent Career, where we’re pioneering the use of transcribed conversations and computational linguistics to match business professionals with compatible employment opportunities.
I live in New York City, and my favorite place to visit is anywhere I can snowboard.
